Dear Quaker Community Members,
I hope this letter finds you putting the finishing touches on a great summer! The summers of our childhood seemed to last forever. I am sure that our own students look at their summer vacation as a slow moving vacation. As educators, we know that we must use the summer to plan for the upcoming school year.
I would like to highlight some of our accomplishments before we move into the 2011-2012 school year. Our most significant accomplishment is the creation of our 5-Year Strategic Plan. This plan will guide us through the next five years and provide a blueprint for our future success. We have worked very hard to connect and cultivate our relationships with you, the stakeholders of our school system. Our early results have shown strong improvement in the performance of our students in state and national tests. We have also been able to expand offerings to our elementary, middle school, and high school students without adding additional staff. This past year has truly been “Excellent!”
The 2011-2012 school year will see us work to provide opportunities for innovation, foster a positive culture that promotes learning, enhance communication and engagement, and continually prepare our students for an ever-changing world. Our partnership with you is vital to the continued success of our district. I look forward to seeing you at our events and hearing from you with your thoughts. I know that we are all “Planning Today for Tomorrow’s Success!” Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Bob Alsept, Superintendent
